This zippo style lighter is uniquely ornamented with an intricate mother of pearl design of Shin Yun-bok's famous painting 'Dano Day'. Shin Yun-bok, better known by his pen name Hyewon, (born 1758) was a Korean painter of the Joseon Dynasty. Along with Kim Hong-Do, he is known foremost for his genre paintings of the Joseon era. His choice of characters, composition, and painting method differed from Kim's, with use of bright colors and delicate paint strokes.
The magnificent nature of mother of pearl design which keeps its bright colors changing at different agles makes this item a splendid collectable.
